The 2017 theme is Disney, come and see Mickey and Minnie, Goofy, Buzz, Woody, Jessie. Olaf, Donald, Daisy, Princesses and more as well as some amazing fireworks, this year the bonfire will actually form part of the first display and will be lit by the fireworks.
There is a fun fair, fully licensed bar, a variety of eateries serving hot and cold food and drink, DJ on stage (Academy FM), large gift and craft marquee offering a range of goods, jugglers and other entertainment.
Please note: This event sold out last year and advance purchase is highly advisable as tickets this year are limited. Regular updates will be posted on the event website and on facebook. Every effort will be made to get you into the venue. It is your responsibility to ensure you leave sufficient time to attend the event. We do not offer refunds if you chose not to attend.
This event is in a field, which can become muddy and uneven, please wear appropriate footwear.

Parking is free and the car park will open from 4pm, admission to the event will not be until 5pm and remains at the discretion of the organisers

Two free car parks to reduce queuing significantly. Community Safety Accredited Traffic Management Operatives are authorised by the Chief Constable of Kent, staff have the same powers as Police when controlling traffic.
If you are coming by car, please follow the road signs to designated parking, parking is not available within Quex Estate or the Museum, Quex businesses are open as usual.
Disabled Parking (Blue Badge Holders only) please follow the signs. This event is in a country park as such it may be difficult for wheelchair users.
From London, Canterbury or Dover Directions
Follow the signs from the A299 Thanet way to Minster roundabout, turning left or right as appropriate. At the Acol roundabout you will be given an option to turn left or right for Bonfire and Fireworks Parking. Disabled Parking turn left towards Acol
If you take the left turn, follow the road and signs through Acol Village and continue towards Birchington. You will be directed to turn right at Acol Hill junction with Manston Road and follow the signs into car park 1 and Disabled Parking.
On your exit you will be directed to turn right out of the car park and retrace your route back to the Thanet Way

This event is weather dependent and the bonfire may not be lit for safety reasons.
In the event that it is unsafe to hold the event on the advertised night, it may be postponed for 24 hours or until the following weekend. Your ticket will remain valid and refunds will be not be given.
The event will go ahead in rain, or snow. High winds may affect the event and advice will be taken from professionals. Please check our website www.kentevents.org.uk or our Facebook page KentEvents Margate for updates.
We will make every effort to keep to the advertised schedule, however we reserve the right to alter, change or delay the schedule without prior notice in the interests of safety or other reasons. In such cases no refunds will be given.
In the interests of animal welfare, no pets are permitted on site.
We have a duty to protect our visitors and ensure as far as possible they can enjoy the evening. Personal fireworks, sparklers, alcohol or other prohibited articles are not permitted within the venue, you may be searched by security as a condition of your entry and articles prohibited articles will be destroyed. Refusal to be searched may result in refusal for admission and no refunds will be given.
We ask that you do not use sparklers or personal fireworks in the car park, Kent Events, Quex Park, their staff or agents are in no way liable for any injury, loss or damages caused by such use.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission and as such no refunds will be given.
